Color: Orange and white, liver and white, or liver and white with orange markings, in a clear or roan pattern.

Life span: 14 to 15 years.

General characteristics/temperament: The Brittany is happy, alert, strong, active, and agile. They have high energy levels and require a lot of exercise and activity. They made excellent family pets as long as sufficient exercise and training can be provided. Early and frequent socialization is also very important for this breed. Originally called the Brittany Spaniel, the AKC has officially changed the breed name to simply the Brittany because their hunting style more closely resembles that of pointers, not spaniels.
