Color: White or red, (from light, yellowish-red to deep red), solid or in any combination.
Life span: 12 to 14 years.
General characteristics/temperament: The Ibizan Hound is even-tempered, affectionate, loyal, elegant, quick, agile, extremely versatile and trainable. They make an excellent family pet as well as a determined hunting dog. Although they can be somewhat independent and stubborn, they respond very well to positive training methods. They are generally quiet, but do bark an alarm and are good watchdogs. They have a strong prey drive and are very athletic and able to jump to incredible heights from a standstill, thus requiring very tall fences.
