Color: Black and white, with or without ticking or roan patterns.
General characteristics/temperament: The Large Munsterlander is alert, energetic, intelligent, loyal, affectionate, trustworthy, and easy to train. They make excellent multi-purpose gun dogs, possessing a keen nose and work equally well on land and in water. They tend to be more responsive to their handlers than other hunting breeds, but their pointing instinct tends to mature later. They are typically calm and gentle with children, and do very well as family dogs.
