General characteristics/temperament: The Pomeranian is intelligent, alert, outgoing, and vivacious. They love to please and make great companions and family pets. They are energetic and need lots of attention from their family, but because of their small size their exercise requirements are easily met. They are gregarious and love to be with their family. They are alert and inquisitive, and will bark an alert when there's anything unusual.
