Color: Always black with rust to mahogany markings.
General characteristics/temperament: The Rottweiler is basically calm, confident, courageous, robust, and powerful. They can be aloof and do not lend themselves to indiscriminate friendships. They are naturally protective of their territory and their family, and require early and consistent socialization and obedience training. Willing to work and capable of great endurance, they excel in many canine sports and activities.
