Color: Black (or grizzle) and tan.
Life span: 12 to 13 years.
General characteristics/temperament: The Welsh Terrier is alert, aware, spirited, friendly, intelligent, courageous, and outgoing. They have a desire to please and are fairly easy to handle. But on the other hand, they tend be assertive and require patience and a persistent approach to obedience train. They have high energy levels and need plenty of exercise. If bored, they might become destructive. They typically have a hunting instinct, and will chase anything that moves, including cats.
